  • Resource Person: 18 Posts

Educational Qualification:

  • Primary School Teacher (PST)

(i) Class I-V

(a) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR

(b) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations 2002. OR

(c) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR

(d) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education).

(ii) Class VI-VIII

(a) B.A/B.Sc. and 02 years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR

(b) B.A/B.Sc. with at least 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR

(c) B.A/B.Sc. with at least 45% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR

(d) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years BA/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR

(e) B.A/B.Sc. with at least 50% marks and 1 year B.Ed (Special Education). AND

(f) (Central Teacher Eligibility Test shall be mandatory).

Selection Procedure: Selection will be based either Written Exam/Interview.

How to Apply

Eligible and interested persons can appear for walk-in-interview on 25 August 2021.

  1. The interested local eligible candidate shall apply in the prescribed form along with attested copy of supporting documents through email at 31smsa.63@gmaiI.com or in person at State Project Office of Samagra Shiksha at Education Directorate Kavaratti and same shall reach the undersigned on or before 6 pm on 25.08.2021. Applications received after the specified date and time will not be accepted under any circumstances. The SMSA will not be responsible for postal delay and no such claim will be entertained.
  2. The interview will be held during the first week of September 2021 and all those willing to attend the interview should reach Kavaratti by 03 September 2021.
  3. The candidates should submit ST certificate, Birth Certificate, SSLC, Plus Two, Degree, and related documents along with application. The candidates applying for the post should submit the Mark list of all years of study and Semester marks along with certificates.
  4. The candidates who have passed matriculation, plus two, degree etc. from open schools/ Universities/ Institutions through correspondence course, distance education/ private mode are directed to produce equivalency certificate showing that the qualification they have acquired is/ are equivalent to regular courses in the respective level. They shall also produce certificate/ proof showing that the schools/ Universities/ Institutions are recognized and the courses are approved by the Council of Board of School Education (CBSE) in India/ Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)/UGC and Central/ State Government.
